An intriguing take on love. Has cupid been stiletto-ed? It's definitely one for women on top. Holly B Brenson has created top entertainment with quality, lively writing and unexpected twists. Magazine designer hype or possible? Set in Paris, it's sparkling, witty dialogue is alternately shocking, funny and exciting. The story stars two contrasting (US/UK) female characters - love or loathe - who build up a thought-provoking plot. I loved it and laughed aloud at some of the dialogue and insights into Parisian love life. It's an edgy, playful book that does not shy away from all of love's roller-coaster of emotions, including the occasional underbelly of vengeance. One of the best and most entertaining books I have read this year. Brilliant characters and gorgeous Parisian backdrop. If you love books that take you somewhere different in a good way this is the one for you. Can't wait to read more from Holly P Brenson.
Well ooh la la! Tres Parisienne, full of joie di vivre and joie de coquetterie! Loved the heroines attempt to reverse the usual man/woman tango of hunter and prey and the minefield of cultural and gender pitfalls that confuse the game and drive us all to highs and lows of passion and despair! Our woman in Paris goes about her challenge with verve, humour and the guidance of a femme fatale who has succeeded in turning the tables of the sexual playing field, all set in the sensual surroundings of the city of love.
